The amount of data that comes out of operating theatre is both huge and valuable. The heart rates before a crash, the blood pressures that are associated with certain morbidities the weights and volumes of fluid that precede a recovery. All of this can help improve outcomes. Yet so much of this data simply is either never captured or gets lost in the hospital melee. Our client, a UK based medtech company, is about integrating the medical data ecosystem, and capturing the data in ways that hospital admins can use later. It’s a brilliant idea.
But many brilliant ideas struggle to break into areas with high professional barriers and this technology was no exception. Thoburn’s helped develop the messaging and look at their sales channels so they can begin to transform the operating theatre to a more data driven environment.
